My Urban Toddler

Ella, Jckson, Cooper, Jacob, Lillian, Gavan, Aiden, Brooklyn & Calahan

One of the multiples groups that I belong to the HOMMIES (all mom's of triplets and more) had a playdate at My Urban Toddler and it was a blast. There were 9 babies and 3 two year olds plus Nicholas. It was a cool place, we take Nick to the places that have huge climbers in them to burn off all of his energy but this place was an imaginitive play place. They had different cubbies with a pupet theater, kitchen, store, school room and more. And in the middle they had an inclosed area for infants. We were able to get a great picture of all 9 babies, I am still amazed. Everyone did great and I am ready to plan the next one.

NICU Reunion

Last Sunday we went to the Holden NICU Reunion. I'm not sure what I expected it to be but it was nice. There was not a lot of staff there but we did see the head Dr. that took care of the babies and another Dr and a nurse who were very interested in our trio and the stroller. My friend Krista and her triplets were there and we got the kids all down on the blanket it was cute. I think Nicholas had the best time, they had a magician and he thought that was the coolest! Then we took Nick over to the splash park and he played for a while.

Splah Pad

I have a lot of post's to do since I have been a bad blogger as of late. I had bought the babies this cool splash pad to keep cool this summer and it went over well for the most part. Ella and Jackson LOVED it and Cooper only liked it when I turned the water off so it didn't spray.

Party

I decided a long time ago I was going to have a big bash for the babies, but planning it was not on my radar. My mom kept asking me if I was planning it and I just blew it off and decided I was going to do just family. I once again (3 weeks shy of the date) have decided to go sorta big again. I know, I know, I need to plan better. I'm not inviting a ton of people, but family a few close family friends and a few fellow triplet families. I got lucky and found a rental place that still had a tent, tables and chairs available and possibly a bounce house for Nick and the bigger kids at the party. We are not doing a full meal but rather some hot appetisers and snack stuff. Next time I really need to be one top of things I have NEVER done a last minute party like this but thanks to my mom and my aunt it will be a great party.

I can't wait to go to my friend Nichelle's triplets party, they were born 5 day's before mine:) It should fun.

I'm Hungry

I never eat breakfast and rarely eat before noon. But today because I can not eat I am hungry, down right STARVING!!! I guess I just need to suck it up and wait till after my test and just look forward to the 40oz of water I get to drink between 11:30 and 12:00 :) I see something very bad in my future for lunch when I get out of the test.

Summer Fun

Yesterday we had some Summer fun with our friends. We were going to go to a local water fountain and splash around but it was not turned on so we went to Miss Carly's house and the big boy's had fun in the pool and the little ones had fun with the water table. Except Cooper, he wanted nothing to do with it, he was happy to be with mom. Jackson LOVED it, I think he stood at the water tabled and played for almost an hour. The pictures are in reverse order, I am to lazy today to fix them :)Nick, Chloe & Owen

VACATION

Well we survived our first vacation with 4 kids. My mom rented a house on Platte lake in northern Michigan and it was a lot of fun. My mom, Donna and our dear family friend Fran got up there a day early and had things all ready for us when we got there. I can't imagine driving any longer than we did with 3 11 month olds. It took us 5 hours to get there with a million stops along the way. It was rainy and dreary the first 2 day's we were there but we still had fun. On Monday afternoon when it started to dry out we took a ride into Glenn Arbor and went to Cherry Republic. If you like to try new and different things I highly recommend the mild cherry salsa. Monday night Clyde, Nick & I went to the Cherry Bowl Drive In and saw Up. It was a cute movie and we had a good time.

Tuesday We went to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dune Climb and did what else? Climbed the dunes! It was fun and Nick had a great time. We came back to the house and Nick wanted to go in the water, it was COLD!!! But he did not care and splashed away. He wanted to try out the Kayak and I told him to go with dad first and learn how to do it but he told me "No!! I know how to do it!!" and he did, he got in and took off.

Wednesday was a special day as it would have been Fran's son Chris' 25th birthday so first thing in the morning we said a prayer for Chris. Chris was an amazing young man who was taken from this earth WAY to soon. He was struck by a truck walking to school almost 9 years ago. I had known Chris most of his life and our families were close, I used to babysit for him and will always keep him close in my heart. It was a beautiful day and we spent it outside with all the kids. Sand castles, splashing and more kayaking. Nick and my mom went out and kayaked for a long time, I think they both had fun. We had a bon fire at night and roasted marshmallows and had smores. My mom lit the entire stair way and walkway to the lake with candles and set two candles out in the lake in memory of Chris. it was BEAUTIFUL!!! Donna and I sat out with the fire and just watched the candles in the lake. We watched at least 3 boats go by and I was so sure someone would put them out but everyone left them alone and I remember looking away for a few minutes and as soon as I looked back the candles burned out and I told Chris goodnight. It was a beautiful end to a great day!!!

Thursday we headed home and I'm sure my mom, Donna and Fran were glad to see us go. My family is a lot of work LOL It was a great vacation and I hope we get to go back next year!!

Here is a LONG slideshow of all the FUN that we had on our trip up north!!
